The Bandera Science & History Museum

Great place to take the kids.  These cool life size dinosaurs are a great experience for kids to explore for FREE outdoors, while to see the other creatures inside you must pay an entrance fee to the actual museum.  https://banderanhm.org/

The Flying L Ranch is just a 10 minute drive away.  They offer a variety of things including:

Horseback Riding

Cross G Ranch Trail Rides is a short drive away.  They offer horseback riding on their ranch:

  • Bandera Gunfighters: Step back in time with the Bandera Gunfighters, bringing the spirit of the Old West to life with exciting live shootout performances. These family-friendly reenactments showcase classic cowboy action, period costumes, and Western storytelling. Shows take place every Saturday, weather permitting, Showtimes: 11am & 1pm @📍Rattlesnake Ridge (Located behind the Bandera Visitor Center) making it a must-see attraction while visiting the Cowboy Capital of the World.
